Pallets filled with much-needed food and meals, have made their way to Haiti along with other aid.
The country is devastated by Hurricane Matthew, with the storm leaving behind a path of destruction and devastation.
"They have asked for an additional 15 million meals to support their folks that have been devastated by Hurricane Matthew," said Janine Skinner of Feed My Starving Children.
Haiti is a single country already fed by the non-profit Feed My Starving Children as the agency has 30 partners on the ground there.
"We planned on packing and shipping 280 million meals around the world this year, so 15 million meals above and beyond what we have budgeted and allocated through our partners already," Skinner said.
A simple act of kindness, a donation of time or money will help Feed My Starving Children provide millions of Manna Packs to Haiti. The rice, vegetable and vitamin mixture is nutrient dense and just one package a day is enough to keep a child healthy.
"Ninety-one percent of our donations we receive go directly to the feeding program, so you can make a huge impact," Skinner said. "$80 feeds a child for a year."
Feed My Starving Children needs volunteers to put the Manna Packs together. It's a simple act that will no doubt make an immense difference for those who need it most.
