Man claims dogs stolen from yard, then dumped at a park

- Two dogs were stolen from a valley couple -- right out of their yard.

The dogs were later dumped off at a park and during that time, one was hit by a car -- but the story doesn't end there.

"It's like another child for us. They are very important in our life."

Eduardo Quintero is talking about his two Shar Peis named "Wrinkles" and "Cha Cha." He says the two were stolen from his front yard around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday after a person cleaning his home accidentally left the door open.

"I said the dogs will come back. I said yeah, they'll probably come back, they're probably somewhere around the house, but they didn't after a couple of hours."

After a frantic search for hours, Quintero took to social media and asked for help.

"We received a phone call from Facebook. A lady said she saw the same dogs on the pictures over on 67th Avenue and Campbell. I didn't believe it," he said.

"They said there was a car, or a small truck.. old truck came and dumped the dogs early in the morning between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. The lady asked him why did he go and dump the dogs over there and the person said it's none of your business."

The family went to the area on Thursday and luckily spotted Wrinkles.

"When I saw my baby, I started calling Wrinkles and he didn't want to come closer to me, he was afraid. He was in shock."

Unfortunately, Cha Cha was no where to be found. After contacting Maricopa County Animal Care and Control, they said they had her, but she was injured. Quintero says Cha Cha was hit by a car while running from the people trying to get her to safety.

"Right now Cha Cha has really bad injuries on the head. She's unable to stand up."

Cha Cha also has a lot of bumps and bruises, along with a swollen eye. The good news is that she's expected to make a full recovery.
