PHOENX (KSAZ) -
Two teen girls are in the hospital Wednesday night after being hit by a suspected drunk driver.
The girls had run out of gas and had gotten out of the car to push the vehicle to a nearby gas station when they were hit.
Phoenix police say the girls were pushing the disabled vehicle off the road near Interstate 17 and Cactus Road at about 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday night when the suspected drunk driver smashed right into them.
The youngest victim was 16-year-old Mindy Markle.
The suspected drunk driver was also taken to the hospital and police have not announced any charges.
FOX 10's Stefania Okolie spoke to one of the victim's boyfriends about her condition.
A GoFundMe account has been set up to offset medical costs.
