UPDATE: Southbound I-17 is now open for traffic. Northbound inside lanes are still closed, according to DPS.
PHOENIX (AP) — Phoenix authorities are investigating a fatal car crash while crews clean up an active fuel leak that happened as a result of the collision.
The Phoenix Fire Department says one man is dead after a truck pulling a trailer that blew a tire on northbound Interstate 17 and Pinnacle Peak Road.
The highway is backed up while a crew cleans up the fuel leak and while police and fire investigate.
