2 Tucson police officers injured in shootout with suspect

Two Tucson Police officers were injured, following a gun battle with a 28-year-old man. FOX 10's Stefania Okolie reports.

- Two Tucson police officers were injured following a shooting involving a 28-year-old suspect on Thursday.

The shooting, according to Tucson Police, took place just hours after a shooting in Tacoma, WA left one police officer dead.

The two officers were seeking to arrest the 28-year-old man on an active felony warrant when a gun fight started between the suspect and the officers.

The suspect was killed, but both officers were hit during the gunfire exchange. According to police, one of the bullet went through one of the officer's legs, and the other officer was hurt in the chest and shoulder.

That officer is reportedly in critical condition.
