It's the must-have toy this holiday season.
We're talking about Hatchimals.
The toy starts out as an egg and after being cared for, it hatches and a furry animal comes out.
You can make it walk, talk and even dance.
But it's not that easy to get your hands on one.
Fox 10's Courtney Griffin has more on what some people did this morning to make sure they didn't go home empty-handed.
Excited customers waited hours in line overnight to get their hands on a Hatchimal.
It was the first shipment in a week, but might not be the last.
Today, 20 minutes before opening, Target employees handed out 22 Hatchimal tickets.
“Each person who was getting a Hatchimal gets two tickets for two Hatchimals.”
Once the 22 tickets were handed out, those in the back of the line went home empty-handed.
“We had like 40 people, 50 people in line. Now everyone is gone. They were asking questions on where they could go to another Target to go get some more.
Once the doors opened up at 8am, these select few people were the lucky ones to score the Hatchimal.
“Just the blue and green.”
Tom Fortie got the last two tickets.
“There had to be a least 30 to 40 people behind me, so I felt bad because they were there pretty much the same time I was there this morning.
He left with two Hatchimals and a smile on his face knowing how proud his nephews will be.
“I got the last two. Very lucky I’ll be the uncle of the year.”
It may have been a long night, but these shoppers say it was worth.
“Yay get your Hatchimals at Target.”
A Target representative said they'll be getting more shipments in soon, but they don't know exactly when or how many. Each Hatchimal went for $60 today.
