PHOENIX (AP) - Police in Phoenix say one person has been detained for trespassing after criminal damage was found at the summit area of South Mountain Park.
Police say they received a call about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday.
They say information given on the call was that 41-year-old Micheal Preston had damaged electrical panels for the radio/TV transmitters.
A few Phoenix stations reportedly experienced interruption of their broadcast at around 7:30 a.m., when it's believed the damage occurred.
Preston has been booked into jail on commercial burglary, criminal damage and trespassing charges.
Police say their investigation is ongoing.
