MVD offices in Phoenix and Tucson will have later opening hours on certain Wednesdays, in an effort to accommodate expanded employee training.
According to a statement released by ADOT Monday morning, MVD offices in the Phoenix and Tucson areas will open at noon on the second Wednesday of each month. Opening hours for offices in Apache Junction and any rural communities will not be affected.
"MVD continues to improve its technical infrastructure, and added continuing education and other staff training is designed so employees have the tools and knowledge needed to implement these improvements on an ongoing basis," read the statement.
On all other business days, urban MVD offices will continue to be open at 7:30 a.m.. According to a tweet made by ADOT's verified Twitter account, the new arrangement starts on July 12.
