MESA, Ariz. (AP) -- Authorities have released the names of a Mesa man and woman who were killed in a rollover accident on the Beeline Highway.
Arizona Department of Public Safety officials say the victims were 19-year-old Rafael Rosa and 19-year-old Esmeralda Rojas.
They say Rosa was the driver of the vehicle that rolled early Thursday in the median of State Route 87 that's the main link between the Phoenix metro area and Payson.
DPS officials say Rojas wasn't wearing a seat belt and she was ejected.
They say four passengers in the vehicle also weren't wearing seat belts and all were taken to hospitals.
DPS officials say a 20-year-old Apache Junction woman and a 17-year-old Mesa boy remain hospitalized while a 17-year-old Mesa girl and 9-year-old Mesa boy were treated and released.
DPS now says 6 involved in rollover on Beeline: 1 man, 1 woman killed (she wasn't wearing seatbelt). 4 in hospital (3 minors, 1 young adult)— Liz Kotalik FOX 10 (@LizKotalikFOX10) July 13, 2017
