MONSOON 2017: Powerful storm brings rain, flooding & power outages to Phoenix

- The second monsoon storm in as many days is hitting parts of Phoenix Thursday afternoon.

Power Outage

SRP and APS officials, as of 5:50 p.m., are reporting that an estimated 23,000+ customers are without power, due to the storm. For details, click here.

Airport delays

Sky Harbor Airport officials said flights are delayed, due to severe thunderstorm, and they are asking people to check flight status with airline companies, before coming to the airport.

Takeoffs and landings resumed at Sky Harbor, at approximately 6:00 p.m.

The storm has also brought flooding to parts of the Valley, including the US 60.
