Phoenix firefighter accused of assaulting wife's boyfriend

- A Phoenix firefighter has been arrested and accused of kidnapping and assaulting his wife's boyfriend. Maricopa County Sheriff's officials say 31-year-old David Johnathan Lee was arrested on August 2.

Lee is accused of using his wife's cellphone to text the victim and lure him to her home near 19th Avenue and Desert Hills Drive.

Court documents state that Lee and his wife are divorcing, but still are living together.

Authorities say Lee confronted the victim with a knife and handgun and allegedly assaulted him at gunpoint for one hour before allowing him to leave.

The incident was reported to the police and a search warrant was executed on the Lee residence. Detectives found a gun and knife similar to the victim's description and arrested Lee. He was booked into the 4th Avenue Jail for aggravated assault while a victim was bound, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon or dangerous incident and kidnapping.

Bond was set at $25,000 at Lee's initial court appearance. He doesn't have an attorney yet.
