2nd valley Jack in the Box restaurant robbed at gunpoint

For the second time in less than two weeks, a valley Jack in the Box restaurant was the target of an armed robbery.

Phoenix police say the Jack in the Box near 57th Avenue and Thomas was robbed on Thursday night. This comes after another Phoenix location was robbed on April 13.

In the latest robbery, a suspect dressed in a brown jumpsuit with a bandana over his face robbed the restaurant at gunpoint.

Police say he left the scene in a newer-model white quad pickup truck, however, it's unclear how much of the restaurant's money he escaped with.

On April 13, a similar robbery happened at a Jack in the Box near 24th Avenue and Thomas, and this robbery was caught on the surveillance camera.

Similarly to Thursday night's robbery, the suspect also wore a brown jumpsuit with a bandana over his face. He also left the scene in a newer-model white quad pickup truck.

Although the two robberies are very similar, police have not confirmed that the robberies are related.

Luckily, no one was hurt in either robbery.
