TOLLESON, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Emergency crews say a 3-year-old unattended child was rescued after falling into a canal in the west Valley.
According to the Rural-Metro Fire Department, SRP workers were at the scene of a traffic accident near 99th Avenue and Southern when the spotted the child on the bank of the canal.
The child was alone and slipped into the water. The workers immediately pulled the child from the water and firefighters responded to the scene within minutes.
The child was evaluated on scene.
