Suspect accused of killing man at convenience store

Phoenix police say Tuesday a man has been arrested in connection with a murder that happened at a convenience store.

According to a statement released by Sgt. Vince Lewis, Ysidro Ramon Reyes, 37, was arrested at an apartment near the 1500 block of E. Christy Drive, and booked into jail on a count of first degree murder.

Reyes, according to police, is identified as a suspect in the stabbing death of a 54-year-old man at a convenience store on the 10000 block of N. Cave Creek Road. Officers responded to the store at around 3:00 a.m. Tuesday.

The victim, whose identity was not released by police, was reportedly stabbed by the suspect from behind. Police said the victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, and was later declared dead.
