Driver rescued from flooded road, ticketed for reckless driving

- A man was ticketed after being rescued while driving through a flooded road during heavy rains on Wednesday.

Honda Bowe Road in New River was barricaded after it was flooded from heavy rains, but one driver decided to risk it and drive through the flooded road. His pickup truck got stuck and rescuers were called into get him to safety.

The driver was not hurt, but he was ticketed for reckless driving and under Arizona's Stupid Motorist Law, any driver who passes through a barricade and subsequently needs to be rescued, has to pay for the rescue.
