Diamonds and fine art up for auction in Scottsdale

A million dollar fine art piece along with some diamond necklaces and rings are up for auction in Scottsdale.
 
"We're selling two paintings by Marc Chagall a modern master, and one by Rene Magritte. We have diamond jewelry, we have a '57 Thunderbird, we have Peter Maxes, we have contemporary Polish art work, this is the finest sale we've ever conducted," said Nicholas Boehme.
 
J Levine Auction & Appraisal in Scottsdale is holding their fall catalog auction on Thursday. Inside you'll find diamonds, artwork, and much more.
 
"The start of the show is the Marc Chagall Cockerel, and it is supposed to go anywhere from $800,000 to $1.2 million," said Boehme.
 
Chagall is said to be one of the most influential modernist artists of the 20th century.
 
"He was a Russian immigrant to Paris in the 20's, after the revolution, and created a whole new style," said Boehme.
 
Another piece is expected to be auctioned off for $300,000.
 
"It's a circus character, he was always fascinated by the circus performers, and the people who are part of the circus," he said.
 
A preview is being held for the artwork and jewelry from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday and between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. on the day of the auction Thursday.
