Police: Phoenix market clerk allegedly shot by brother

A clerk at a Phoenix market has been taken to a hospital after allegedly being shot by his brother.

Phoenix Fire Department officials say the shooting occurred about 3:15 p.m. Monday at the Sharks Market store in the area of North 32nd Street and East Greenway Road.

Fire officials say the cashier was shot in the chest by his brother, 61-year-old Issa Saleh.

According to police at the scene, the shooting was domestic in nature and involved two brothers and one of them is the wounded clerk.

Police say the victim's injuries don't appear to be life-threatening.
