SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (KSAZ)
A soap opera star is falling from grace. The actor from 'Days of Our Lives' was arrested in the valley. Casey Moss was caught on camera causing a ruckus at a Scottsdale hotel that landed him behind bars.
"I didn't do anything, man! I didn't do anything," said Casey Moss on body-cam footage released by Scottsdale Police.
A body camera was rolling as 21-year-old Casey Moss was placed in the back of a Scottsdale Police SUV.
"The officer asked for his name, and he said "My name is Casey Moss, and I'm an actor on Days of Our Lives," said Sgt. Ben Hoster with the Scottsdale Police Department.
Employees at the "W" Hotel say Moss became belligerent and tried to take a swing at a bartender after a night of drinking.
"The subject became, after being overly intoxicated, upset with the staff because they cut him off," said Hoster.
A friend of Moss's was also staying at the W apparently tried to get him to go back to his room. Surveillance video from the lobby showed what happened next.
"He at one point had to be restrained by a friend, a short time later Mr. Moss was able to break free from his friend and he attempted to punch a bartender, but he missed, and he proceeded to push another staff member," said Hoster.
But police say it did not stop there.
"In the process of being escorted out of the bar, Mr. Moss then began to struggle with the officer and tried to pull away, he had to be taken to the ground so the officer could regain control of Mr. Moss," said Hoster.
Moss was booked into the 4th Avenue Jail on charges of assault and resisting arrest.
