PHOENIX (FOX 10) - Thousands of people showed up to the 39th Annual Phoenix Pride Festival on Saturday at Steele Indian School Park. The event features more than 300 tents, including all kinds of food and art.
There was tons of rainbow gear - everything from flags to lanyards. Those at the event say the festival gives them a chance to be themselves.
"We come to Pride because it's the one time of year we can be who we are without any judgment or questions," one festival-goer said. "So we can do whatever we want and have fun together."
The Phoenix Pride Festival runs through 9 p.m. Saturday and starts up again Sunday.
