Anthem school lockdown lifted after search

ANTHEM, Ariz. (KSAZ) - Several schools in the north valley were on lockdown while authorities investigated a "police situation."

Anthem, Boulder Creek, Diamond Canyon, and Gavilan Peak schools were placed on lockdown after MCSO deputies started searching for a suspect.

The Deer Valley Unified School District posted a notice to parents on Facebook alerting them of the situation, and later when the lockdown was lifted.

By 3:00 p.m. the lockdown was lifted and schools resumed normal operations. All schools are scheduled to dismiss on time.
