A missing Gilbert mother was found today after going missing Friday morning.
She and her vehicle were found near Canyon Lake by someone with a keen eye.
Fox 10’s Danielle Miller spoke with the man who first spotted the vehicle and called police.
He says he didn't expect this story to turn out the way it did.
"All it takes is just a little paying attention to small details like that, you never know, you can save someone's life," said Taylor Graham.
Just before 11 this morning, Taylor Graham and his brother were taking a drive to Apache Lake.
Before heading out they heard about the story of the missing Gilbert woman, Claudine Carr.
Police say Carr went missing on Friday morning after her husband says she went to CVS to pick up a prescription, but never made it there.
"One of our friends from the Arizona 4x4 club decided to keep an eye out and we did, and on the way up to Apache Lake on State Route 88 we noticed the vehicle,” Graham said.
Graham saw the 2007 Cadillac Escalade sitting on the side of the road.
He noticed the vehicle was unoccupied and called police.
"Did she get kidnapped, did she get lost in the mountains, you know there were so many things that ran through my head," Graham said.
Search and Rescue crews got on scene and located Carr a few hours later about 200 yards away from her vehicle in a wash.
She was flown out by helicopter to a local hospital for treatment.
He's happy he could be one step in helping the family find their missing loved one.
"They were a little scared at first, hoping that she was alright, and when they found out that she was alive, 5 minutes later they put a smile on their face. They were just happy. They said we just gave them the best Christmas present they could get right now."
As of now we don’t have an update on Carr’s condition, but her husband has said she suffers from depression and Friday morning she was not herself.
