TEMPE, Ariz. (KSAZ) - One man is dead after a vehicle lost control and crashed into a pole on a light rail track.
Tempe police say a Ford Mustang was driving near Priest and Washington when it lost control and crashed into the pole. Two men inside the Mustang had to be extricated from the vehicle and one of the men has died.
The other victim was transported to a hospital where he is in critical condition.
Due to the crash, Valley Metro shut down all of their trains in Tempe and Mesa on Friday morning.

Police say it appears the Mustang was speeding when it crossed the train tracks and crashed into the pole.
