FAA: five aircraft hit by laser near Phoenix

- The FAA says another aircraft flying in the Phoenix area was illuminated by a laser.

The latest incident happened five miles south of Phoenix at about 8 p.m., on Wednesday night. There were no reported injuries.

The first four incidents happened around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The first laser strike happened northwest of Phoenix.

A regional jet flying into Sky Harbor was hit east of Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport.

A Cessna was illuminated northeast of Phoenix.

And a four incident which struck a general aviation aircraft happened southwest of Phoenix.

Phoenix ranks number two in laser strikes on aircraft for the year.
