PARADISE VALLEY, Ariz. - A Scottsdale firefighter was injured battling flames at a Paradise Valley home on Wednesday night near 64th Street and Shea Boulevard.
Mesa, Scottsdale and Phoenix crews responded to put out the massive fire.
The main structure burned and crews tell us the 1,600 square feet home is a total loss, but they did save the two story structure next to it. There were also several pets in the backyard. The good news is none of those pets were injured in the fire and nobody was home at the time.
Officials say four people do live in the home and they will be displaced.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
The Scottsdale fighter is expected to be okay. He was treated for minor burns.
