Much of Arizona is under a Winter Weather advisory until 6pm on Monday evening.
Snow, as well as rain, wind and chilly temperatures have continued throughout Arizona over the weekend, turning parts of Arizona into a winter wonderland. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather advisory across most parts of Arizona until Monday evening.
Heavy fog has been spotted south of the Valley along I-10 near Queen Creek Road and Wild Horse Pass Road on Sunday morning. The Arizona Department of Transportation has been advising drivers to watch out for ice and snow on the roads across the state.
In the Valley highs will be in the lower 60s, with low temperatures reaching as low as 40 degrees on Sunday evening.
As the week continues, widespread freezing temperatures are expected in the suburbs of the Phoenix metro area, northern Arizona, as well as southern and southeastern Arizona on Tuesday through Thursday. People are adivsed to cover their plants and water pipes and to keep their pets indoors later in the week as the cold mass settles across the desert.
