Caught on Camera: Burglary suspects take drugs, cash register from Phoenix pharmacy

Police are searching for two burglary suspects accused of breaking into a well known downtown Phoenix pharmacy near 7th Avenue and Indian School.
Phoenix Police are now searching for two men who burglarized the Melrose Pharmacy, located in the heart of Phoenix.

Just after 1 in the morning, the pharmacy was raided by two men who broke through the window using a sledge hammer.

"They were in and out within two minutes," said Teresa Stickler.

The two men tried to hide their faces from the surveillance cameras.

"They were wearing gray hoods, they left in a white 4-door sedan," said Stickler.

Stickler is the owner and says one of the burglars took off with one of their registers and some prescription drugs.

"They went straight for the cough syrup, so they knew exactly what they were going for," she said.

This isn't the first time Stickler's pharmacy was targeted.

"I had two incidents last year, my insurance company cut me off, so I had to find a new insurance company, and now who knows what is going to happen, if I'm going to have to find a new insurance company for now," said Stickler.

Stickler says the store will undergo new changes, in addition to the ones she's made in the past to protect her business from thieves.

"It's heartbreaking you know, you pour your life and heart and soul into your business, and then somebody goes and damages it, and it's not even worth it, and here I have to be at 1 a.m. boarding up and cleaning up glass and stuff, so if it's time after time, it really starts to get to you," said Stickler.

If you recognize either men in the video, police ask you to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS, you can remain anonymous.
