Victims' names released in deadly crash

A deadly crash shut down the intersection of 59th Avenue and Indian School following a tragic deadly crash mere hours after Christmas.

Three people are confirmed dead in the crash, which happened just before 2am.  Police say a black Chevy Tahoe was traveling westbound on Indian School when a driver ran a red light and crashed into a white Lexus that was turning north on 59th Avenue.  

Police are now telling us that 25-year-old Jonathan Lawrence Green, 25-year-old Jose Luis Hernandez and 25-year-old Jose Angel Martinez are the victims from the crash.

The driver of a black Chevy Tahoe was heading westbound on Indian School Road and ran the red light, colliding with the Lexus.  Police say the driver and passenger from the Tahoe were not seriously injured.

After the crash, they were detained for questioning.  The 21 year old driver of the 2007, black Chevrolet Tahoe has been released pending biological testing. Charges are pending, according to Phoenix police.
