PHOENIX - The Fiesta Bowl Parade happens in Phoenix at 11am Saturday and as many as 100,000 people are expected.
Folks have been lining up in the cold weather since Friday night to be in a good spot for the big event. As many as 400 volunteers have been working to put together the 45th annual Bank of Arizona Fiesta Bowl parade. The game with the Ohio State Buckeyes playing against the Notre Dame Fightin' Irish was Friday night.
The parade begins at Central and Montebello and lasts for two miles, heading south down Central and then heading east to 7th Street. The parade Grand Marshall, Randy Johnson, was just inducted the Hall of Fame.
Fourteen floats will be part of the parade, including an amazing and elaborate one from Payson, featuring a recreation of the natural bridge at the Tonto national Forest. Marching bands from the valley will also play, along with bands from Ohio State, and also from West Virginia and ASU, whose teams are playing the Cactus Bowl on Saturday.
