TEMPE, Ariz. (KSAZ) - A beautiful warm day, and maybe the best place to enjoy it is at Tempe Town Lake.
Rick Sampson and his dog Sprinkles were paddleboarding on Tempe Town Lake.
"Oh it's perfect, Arizona couldn't ask for better weather, maybe 90-100 would be better because the water is cold but it is absolutely perfect," said Rick Sampson.
Folks had to get out on the Lake, because the water is being pumped out by giant orange pumps. Businesses that depend on the lake like Boats4Rent.com are being patient.
"It is not the greatest time of the year for it to happen for us, but we are very excited to get a new dock, and we will have a grand re-opening when we rent boats again," said Matt Frank.
But as long as there is water, people are enjoying the lake. Everybody FOX 10 spoke to enjoyed the warm temperatures, well almost everyone. Hanna Weber and her dog Siberian Husky named Sugar wanted it a little colder.
"Someone told me it should be rainy weather, but it hasn't been... Arizona is not my place," said Hanna Weber.
Hanna isn't going to Siberia, but last week's cold weather seems like a distant memory. Tempe officials say the new dam should be finished around the end of April.
