The truck driver, a 30-year-old man, was thrown from the vehicle and passed away from his injuries. A passenger in the truck, a 31-year-old woman, was not hurt.
The driver of the car, a 23-year-old man, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries but he is expected to survive.
