PHOENIX (KSAZ) - A man has been arrested in a double-shooting that left one woman dead and his cousin in critical condition.
Phoenix police say 27-year-old Nikolas Dominguez has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder and aggravated assault.
On Tuesday afternoon, police responded to reports of a shooting at a home near 400 W. La Mirada Drive. After arriving at the home, officer found the body of 21-year-old Jessica Sanchez, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim's 41-year-old boyfriend had been shot multiple times and was transported to a hospital where he remains in critical condition.
While at the hospital, the victim provided detectives information about the shooting and the suspect, which led them to arrest Dominguez, who is the victim's cousin.
After speaking to the suspect, Dominguez admitted to police he had shot his cousin over a drug-related dispute. He also admitted to shooting Sanchez.
