TEMPE, Ariz. (KSAZ) - A first-alarm fire broke out near the Loop 202 in Tempe on Sunday night.
Tempe firefighters say the fire broke out in an unincorporated area of Tempe near Curry and Scottsdale Roads. When firefighters arrived at the scene, two lots used for vehicle storage were fully engulfed in flames.
The fire was quickly upgraded to a first-alarm fire and once it was under control, investigators say it was caused by a malfunctioning generator.
No injuries were reported and the cause is still under investigation.
