We have a follow-up to a story we brought to you a few weeks ago regarding a puppy that was found abandoned in a Phoenix dumpster. The young puppy was left to die but was thankfully rescued.
Now, the woman who rescued the pup says she can no longer afford to take care of him because the puppy is sick.
The two-month-old puppy, named 'Trooper,' was rescued from a trash bin at an apartment complex near 7th Street and Bell Road.
The foster organization, Passionate People 4 Paws, took him in and the woman who runs it, Veronica, has been caring for the pup since.
She says she's spent several thousand dollars on vet bills for the puppy, who was diagnosed with distemper.
She says she can't afford to continue the treatments and is reaching out for help.
