ADOT says the truck crashed on I-17 southbound at 7th Ave. and is leaking hot tar and asphalt.
All lanes have reopened on I-17 southbound at 7th Ave. but the exit ramp is still closed as ADOT crews work to clean up the spill.
Drivers plane accordingly.
Here’s a video from shortly after troopers arrived. Some of the leaking tar flowed into the far right lane and down the ramp. Troopers will inspect the truck further to find out what happened. pic.twitter.com/xdEq0S1yoM— Dept. Public Safety (@Arizona_DPS) January 28, 2019
