Arcadia holds 5th annual 4th of July parade

Whether it's the fireworks, candy, face-painting, and fun, the Fourth of July in Arcadia is one of the most patriotic places to be this Independence Day.

"This isn't right here, it's getting out, enjoying the neighborhood," Maricopa County Sheriff Paul Penzone said. "This is such a great country."

Sheriff Penzone participated in the parade, right alongside his neighbors. It's an event that takes everyone back to simpler times, according to the sheriff.

"I think it just brings it back to simplicity of what America is," he said. "It's these neighborhoods and the community."

Arcadia has held a Fourth of July parade since 1996.

"The kids, the kids and 10 dogs, yes the kids and just everybody is so great," Veronica Penzone said.

Celebrating America's birthday as a community is the best way these folks know how to show their pride for our country and the freedoms we're allowed.
