Argument turns deadly in Phoenix neighborhood

A neighborhood turned into a crime scene near 41st Street and McDowell after police say a man died when a woman ran over him with her car during a heated argument.

After the incident, police were busy collecting evidence while K.C. Biggs stood outside his apartment in shock.

"They were arguing and he kept getting in front of her, she kept trying to hit him, she kept missing him," he said. "Second time... third time she hit him... and he got lodged under the car."

Still stunned, K.C. says he's seen the couple in the complex before, but has a hard time coming to terms with the violent way the man's life ended right in front of him.

"She couldn't move the car... she was screaming and hollering, 'Please get the car off him,'" he said. "They couldn't get the car off of him. They couldn't do nothing until the fire department got here."

Police say paramedics did what they could, but by the time they got there it was just too late.

Now, one life is lost while others are changed forever.

"It's just crazy... I don't understand," Biggs said. "I really don't."
