Arizona Capitol Museum honors falllen heroes

There is an exhibit at the Arizona Capitol Museum that you should not miss; it's called "Remembering our Fallen."

It's a tribute to service members who have died protecting our country since 9/11.

The exhibit puts a human face on the sacrifice, so many brave service men and women have made to protect and defend the country since the attacks of 9/11/01.

It includes photographs of the fallen, personal reminiscences, heartfelt tributes because it's so important for everyone to remember.

"Once a person is forgotten it is like they were never here, and to their families they have never left mind or heart, this is a good way to represent who they lost," said Kim Crawford.

Each of the tributes tells you something about these service members what they were like, and one thing that leaps out to you is how young some of them are.

18, 19, 20-years-old, others were slightly older with children of their own. Seeing these tributes, there's a message here for all of us.

"I hope they remember that service to our country is so important, and to remember those families because they have lost someone, they are never really gone to that family," said Crawford.

Remembering the Fallen will be at the Arizona Capitol Museum until February 6, admission is free.
