Arizona Lottery says $1 million Mega Millions ticket sold in Chandler

CHANDLER, Ariz. (KSAZ) -- The Arizona Lottery says a $1 million Mega Millions ticket was sold at a Circle K in Chandler.

"Do you play the lotto?" I asked.

"No, but I should have played this one... maybe I would have gotten lucky," a customer replied.

The lottery says someone got lucky after a customer purchased a Mega Millions ticket at the Circle K on Dobson Road near Elliot in Chandler and matched the five numbers, but not the Megaplier.

Win or lose, Valley residents are taking more chances.

"I just bough $22 in Powerball tickets," one customer said.

Residents are also buying more tickets all around town, and that could be because the Arizona Lottery says there were also seven $10,000 prize winners, which means four matched numbers and the Megaplier.

There's no word yet on where those were sold, but customers say maybe lightning will strike twice, at least at this Circle K.

The next Mega Millions drawing will be on Friday.
