Arizona man named top Trip Advisor reviewer in the U.S.

- Many of us look forward to a vacation every now and then, but there are many decisions to be made about hotels, restaurants and things to do. If you need advice, there's a man here in the valley who can help and has named him the top reviewer in the United States.

Bill Hunt is a seasoned traveler, but when he's at his Phoenix home, he spends a lot of time on Trip Advisor.

"That's my prime purpose for spending time on the travel forums is to provide answers and suggestions to people who are traveling," he said.

Hunt joined Trip Advisor in 2005 to do research for a trip.

"I want new restaurants. I want to try a new hotel or resort."

Years later, Hunt decided to join the forums and help others plan their own vacations. So far, he's given about 20,000 responses.

"It's a two way street for me. I'm learning, I'm researching and then hopefully, I'm paying something back," he said.

Hunt has given so much great advice that Trip Advisor named him the top reviewer in the U.S. for forum post of the year.

His best advice for travelers?

"When you find the schedule for the route and the airline that you want at a price that you can afford, purchase and don't look back."

He even has advice for posting questions in the Trip Advisor forums.

"Explain their likes and dislikes, explain their budget."

But even after seeing the world, Hunt says there's nothing like coming home.

"It's so great to get back home after two, three weeks of travel. Even if we've gone to wonderful and luxurious destinations, it's nice to get back home."

Trip Advisor also released a list of the most reviewed cities in 2015, which include New York, Las Vegas, Orlando, Miami and San Francisco.
