ASU responds to Lawrence Krauss sexual misconduct allegations

- A prominent scientist and ASU professor is being accused of sexual misconduct, and on Friday night, the university is responding to the allegations.

Recently, Buzzfeed reported that several women have come forward to accuse Krauss of inapproprate touching or comments. The allegations came from former students at universities Krauss once taught at, to fans he met at conferences.

In a statement posted on Twitter, ASU officials said the school has received no complaints from its students, faculty or staff related to Krauss. In addition, officials said the university has started a review, and encourage anyone with concerns to report them.

Lawrence Krauss was supposed to speak an event in Phoenix Friday, but his appearance was canceled. Fans of the prominent theoretical physicist were unhappy with the cancellation of his appearance at Comerica Theater.

Some showed up expecting to see him, unaware of what has surfaced. It is, however, not clear that the allegations are the exact reason for Krauss' absence, as we have not heard from Krauss or his team.

While some wish they had known earlier, others say it's for the best Krauss is no longer in the line up for the event at Comerica Friday night.
