Avondale PD: Sexual assault suspect on the loose

A teenage girl was attacked and sexually assaulted in a park in the west Valley.
Police are hoping a sketch of the suspect will help track him down.
The attack happened near 107th Avenue and Indian School Road.
The 17-year-old victim was able to help police come up with a sketch of her attacker and she remembered a unique detail that could help police track him down.
Avondale police need the public's help identifying the man in the sketch.
"I pray that they catch the individual because if that had been my child or any child...a defenseless child is just that defenseless," said neighbor Phil Lee.
Phil Lee has lived in the area for two decades and he walks his dog in the same park twice a day.
It is typically filled with kids and families.
"This is the first time in 20 years since we've been here that we had something of this nature occur."
Police say the 17-year-old girl was alone in the park late at night.
The suspect came up from behind her, hit her on the back of the head, forced her to the ground and sexually assaulted her.
She was able to fight him off and run for help.
The victim remembered a unique mark on her attacker; he had a tattoo of a star on his right forearm.
Neighbors say they do not recognize the suspect.
"Most of the time they aren't residents they come in commit their dirt then skivvy back to their area."
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, in his late twenties to early thirties, with dark wavy hair, brown eyes and a star tattoo on his right forearm.
He was last seen wearing a yellow bandana on his head.
