Fire crews, Arizona Task Force One, returns from Gulf states

The Arizona Task Force One has had a busy couple of weeks helping out victims of hurricanes that hit Texas and Florida. The valley first responders received a warm welcome when they returned home Saturday night.

The groups of Arizona first responders has spent 21 days in the Gulf states assisting with search and rescue efforts after Hurricanes Harvey and Irma devastated the area. On Saturday evening, the Task Force returned home to the valley. They arrived in a convoy of more than 20 trucks that were pulling boat trailers, box trucks and electronic equipment.

The 80-member task force was greeted by families and city officials, including Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton, during a ceremony on Saturday evening at Phoenix Fire Special Operations.
