Phoenix Fire: Envelope leaking black powder prompts Bank of America evacuation

PHOENIX (KSAZ) -- Phoenix Fire Department Hazardous Materials Teams are on scene of a Bank of America near 18th St. and Buckeye Rd. for reports of a suspicious package that prompted the building's evacuation.

According to fire officials, the suspicious package in question is an envelope in the mail room that was leaking a black powder. Phoenix Fire Captain Kenny Overton said while the substance did not pose a life hazard, it is unknown exactly what the substance is. The incident has since concluded.
