Bee swarm attacks family dogs killing one

EL MIRAGE, Ariz. (KSAZ) - A valley family is mourning the loss of three of their dogs that died in a bee attack.

The swarm of bees attacked outside the family's home in El Mirage.

The bees had made their home in an upside down, abandoned couch outside the family's home. Fire officials say when someone flipped the couch over, the bees attacked the family's four dogs. One of which died at the scene, two were critically hurt.

Firefighters rushed the surviving dogs to an emergency animal hospital, two were brought there in critical condition, one died, and a third was hurt but expected to survive. The two that were in critical condition were euthanized due to their injuries.
