Biltmore home goes up in flames Saturday

- A large home in the upscale Biltmore neighborhood went up in flames early on Saturday.

Crews were called out to a house near 24th street and Camelback road just after midnight.  When firefighters arrived they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the back yard of the home.

Multiple power lines had been damaged as a result of the fire, and there was also an active gas leak that broke out.  These complications made fighting the fire a challenge.

The only person inside the home at the time was able to make it out safely.  Firefighters they are still trying to determine how much damage was caused and what started the fire.  The home is described as a total loss.
