Birthday jackpot: Man wins 'Bingo Millions' at Lone Butte Casino

- An amazing haul - right here in the Valley. A 34-year-old man is a million-dollar winner just by playing bingo and he won the jackpot on his birthday.

Cashing in on the prize, Michael Nolan says, "It still hasn't really sunk in. I want to say it's pretty surreal. It will be fun to see how it goes."

After taxes, Nolan is still taking home $700,000. He's lived in the Valley for most of his life and after celebrating his birthday playing a lucky round of bingo with his mother, his life will never be the same.

"When she knew I won, she had the idea it was the millionth board, so she started going crazy about it," he said.

The winner was announced at a press conference at Lone Butte Casino on Friday. Two of the winner's plans include a new car and seeing the world.

"Buy a new car, maybe travel a bit, go to Ireland, go learn about my family history, go to Japan, kinda see the world," he said.

Nolan fixes computer servers, but says now he has other options on the horizon.

"Now at least I don't have to necessarily work if I need to, but because I want to go back, learn what I want and go find a job in that field," he said. "Long time goal.. I want to be a vet and that's still something I'd kinda like to pursue."

The bingo number that earned Nolan all that cash in the game: B15. And winning all that cash on his birthday made the prize even sweeter.

The odds of winning the bingo millions game are about one in 1.5 million.
