Body cam video of Arizona Cardinals player's arrest released

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (KSAZ) - On Tuesday, Scottsdale police released police body cam video of the arrest of Arizona Cardinals tight end Ricky Seals-Jones.

Jones, 23, was arrested for disorderly contact and trespassing outside the W Hotel on July 14.

Body camera footage shows two sides of a story that don't matchup. Scottsdale Police say that Seals-Jones tried to go into a closed W Hotel restaurant to use the bathroom.

Seals-Jones, according to police documents, said he attempted to walk past the hotel staff, as he had to go to the bathroom badly, and was then taken to the ground.

However, two security guards interviewed outside of the hotel explain a more forceful situation. They paint the picture of a man trying to force his way in, showing officers how it happened.

According to documents, a hotel staff told police officers that Seals-Jones had requested to go inside the hotel to use the restroom, but was refused, as the hotel only allowed its guests to enter the hotel at that time of the night. Seals-Jones then tried to enter the hotel via a northwest entrance, and was once again denied entry, and told to leave. The staff member said Seals-Jones became "combative", and shoved the staff member in the shoulder area with one hand.
