Body found in an alley near Downtown Phoenix

PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Phoenix police are trying to determine how a body ended up in an alley, in a neighborhood near Downtown Phoenix.

According to a brief statement by Phoenix Police, officers responded to the call of a body near the 2200 block of N. Dayton Street, at around 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday. The victim has been identified as 27-year-old Marco Morales.

Phoenix police officials said the circumstances surrounding the victim's condition were suspicious, and the case is now an ongoing homicide investigation.
