Body pulled from canal in Mesa

MESA - Mesa police are investigating the discovery of a body in a canal near Horne and Brown at about 8:30 a.m. on Sunday.

According to a spokesperson for Mesa Police Department, the incident is being investigated as a suspicious death.

Officials from the Mesa Fire Department say the body is that of an adult male and had been in the water for a considerable amount of time.

The body, at this point, is unidentifiable, according to police.

The investigation remains ongoing.
