Body parts found near business in southwest Phoenix

For the second time in the month of September body parts have been found in an industrial area in southwest Phoenix.
Police say they do not know who the victim is but they do believe the remains are from the same person.
Workers found the remains near 25th Avenue and Broadway.
The businesses up against the Salt River bed, which is where some of the remains were found.
A worker at the industrial business made the latest gruesome discovery Thursday afternoon: a decomposing body on the south side of the riverbed.
People who work in the area have been on edge for more than a week.
"They kind of scared and worried," said Romero Merida, who works nearby.
Merida runs an auto-wrecking business next to where the body was found.
"Those are kind of strange things that are happening. I have never heard of anything like that before."
The first discovery came on September 21 when a worker at an auto-parts yard spotted a severed arm on the property and called the police.
The business is right next to the spot where the rest of the body was found on Thursday.
"Detectives opinion is that there are animals in the area where the bodies were found so their opinion is that somehow the body of the part that was found was possibly taken by an animal that had access to it," said Sergeant Mercedes Fortune of the Phoenix Police Department.
But because the body is in such bad shape they will have to wait for the medical examiner to determine how the person died and help ID the body.
"It would be nice to find out that happened to clear this up and make sure that we are safe," said Merida.
